Programs

I love learning about new programs that can help my business grow and become more productive 🙂 Following is a list of programs/apps that I use on a daily basis to make my business grow 🙂

Please note: some of the links on this page are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn affiliate commission.  This commission comes at no additional cost to you.  Please understand that I have experience with all of these products, and I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something.  Please do not spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they will help you achieve your goals.  You can read my full disclosure here.

Mailchimp

I love this program 🙂 I use it all the time… It’s great for sending out newsletters to your ALL clients at one time.  It’s great to for capturing new people who are interested in your newsletters 🙂  It can tell you who opened your mail outs and if they clicked on any links that you included in the mail out.

Harvest

This is another program I love… we use to use spreadsheets to track the tasks we do for each of our clients.  We would have them loaded on memory sticks and take the memory sticks with us… we would enter the info into the spreadsheets, then at the end of the month, we would transfer all the information manually into our accounting program.  Then we were told about Harvest… How that changed our lives… now we log in and track our time, right down to the last minute, then at the end of each month we invoice in Harvest and the invoices go directly into our accounting program… awesome, awesome program 🙂

Timely

Timely appointment scheduling system

One of my favourite books is The 4 Hour Work Week… I have read it several times and the first time I read it this is what stood out… How many times do you have to talk to someone to set up a meeting – ‘Hi let’s meet’ – ‘Ok, when is a good time for you?’ – ‘I can do Monday at 10 am’ – Sorry, that doesn’t suit me. Does Tuesday at 5 pm suite you?’ – ‘Sorry that doesn’t suit me’ – and on and on it goes until you finally find a mutual time. Since finding Timely its – Hey, let’s meet, here is the link to my calendar, book a time that suits you’… Timely is great for any industry, it comes with a mini-website and you can take money upfront or part payments at booking time.  Take a look 🙂

LastPass

How cool is this program 🙂 LastPass is an online password manager and form-filler that makes web browsing easier and more secure… it syncs onto all your devices so you don’t have to remember any login details for anything ever again 🙂

Evernote

This is another awesome program… I love it 🙂 Evernote helps me remember everything. I have notebooks and notes saved for everything.  I can use tags to search for things… It syncs across all my devices.  I can share notebooks and notes with my staff and I can keep things private.  This is so good for helping me not to forget things 🙂

Trello

You need @trello! It’s like a whiteboard with superpowers. (And it’s free!)  Infinitely Flexible. Incredibly easy to use. Syncs with all your devices. It keeps track of everything, like a big to do list… so cool 🙂

Zoom

Zoom is this cool little program that I use to have my staff meetings – REMOTELY… I also use it to teach clients – REMOTELY… you can do meetings, webinars and much more.  You can record meetings… It is really cool… you need to check it out 🙂

Dropbox

I have been using Dropbox for years… It’s a cloud bases storage for your files.

And don’t forget, I’d love for you to become part of my community.  Fill in the form below 🙂
